Forget Sportscenter; here comes Clip+Sling

When you think of hockey fans, do you think high tech? Well, according to Slingbox, the NHL fans are the most tech savvy of pro fans (and moving up on dental continuity). That is why the NHL and Slingbox are teaming up to bring you a first for major league sports: viral Sling’ing.
“The NHL and Sling Media have signed an agreement whereby Sling Media’s Clip+Sling technology will enable all current and future Slingbox™ customers to clip and share live or recorded segments of NHL programming online with friends, family and others.
The release follows on the heels of high tech innovations adopted by the NHL like the yellow highlighter on the puck at all times…
The video clips can be created by anyone with a Slingbox, but the forthcoming video destination site can be accessed by all. The clips can be tagged, made searchable and even the NHL will be putting up their own clips. Now you can make your own highlight reel.
Clip+Sling is currently in private beta. Mention my name and click here, and you’ll have a shot at getting in on the public beta. Because we are tight like that.
