Google Street View are lawful

Since Google Street View was launched in Denmark in January, said Oluf Jorgensen, media lawyer at the Danish School of Journalism that the service violates the law because it has taken photographs of people who are on private land. In light of this he called on politicians to look at it.

The call was followed by Benny Engelbrecht (S), who would know how the Ministry of Justice looked at the case and yesterday struck Justice Brian Mikkelsen (K) so firmly that he believes Google breaking the law.

Photography or observation must be punishable under the provision would be 'unjust'.Brian Mikkelsen

Google Street View is only illegal if the photographed person feels aggrieved. The case has also been raised with the EU Commission, which has not yet taken up the matter.
