AT&T retires Nokia multimedia device

After just nine months on the market, AT&T is set to retire the Nokia E62 multimedia device. RCR reports that the phone has already disappeared from the operator's website.
The E62, which was often referred to as the "Blackberry killer" was initially offered by AT&T for the stunningly low price of $150. This price was an aggressive move on the part of AT&T whose competitors, T-Mobile and Verizon, already offer popular smartphones like the BlackBerry (image and specs) and Motorola's Q (image and specs). The E62 used the Symbian platform, which has proven popular in the Asian and European markets.
